Already an estabished potter in his own right, David established Elwick Mill Ceramics Studio, as well as taking on the challenge of renovating the historical mill itself - a former corn mill dating back to 1887 that fell into disrepair in the 1960’s.
Situated within walking distance of Balfour Village and the ferry port, the 3-day workshop will be held in the grounds of Elwick Mill, and David’s workshop gallery.Supported by experienced potter Gordon Kitchen, ‘Kilns, Clay, Fire & Fun’ is a celebration of kiln building and firing.
Pottery wheels, clay, and glaze materials will be also be available for participants.Instruction and assistance will be available throughout.
